Well show #1 is in the can. I feel like I should redo the show (mic problems, cold, etc) but a deadline is a deadline. The hardest thing is getting started and I've left myself room to grow..... Yeah, right...
Here are links I mentioned in the show.

The first Podcast will be for the week of November 28, 2005. The video below is an example of a Oral History project my school is producing. It is provided as an example of the production values I try to teach. The domain name thedvteacher.com was registered today so It will take up to 48 hours before it works. I used vendors I had heard mentioned on other Podcasts: http://www.godaddy.com for the domain name and http://www.libsyn.com to host the files. Category:Site Log

You have to start somewhere.... I have been listening to Podcasts for several months and I think I have something to add to the mix. I teach Video Communication and Band at a DoDDS school located in Germany. I would like to share with other video teachers and band directors how I do what I do. I am going to have a focus of (1) other DoDDS video and music teachers, (2) my students and their parents, (3) other teachers who find what I say interesting, (4) anyone who will listen.
I will be trying out several formats for what I will do on the show. To start I will include (1) teaching tips, (2) web resources, and (3) my private soapbox. The soapbox will always be at the end of the show so people can turn me off if they desire.
My goals are (1) to work the making of the show into my daily routine - so it doesn't become to time intense. Maybe I'll wire myself and do the show as I teach... (2) to make sure each show has something to say, (3) to maintain high production values as an example to my students.
Stay tuned.....
I am uploading an example file from a project I am working on: Side by Side in Baumholder: 60 Years of German and American Stories.Direct download: Oral_History_Project__Baumholder_High_School.m4v Category:Site Log -- posted at: 8:04 AM Comments[129]
